Joy: a feeling of great pleasure and happiness
Joy is my "theme" word for 2009. I picked it because I thought I would be able to avoid undesired consequences and negative experiences. I figured that there would be no evil, underside to joy and instead, it would only present a one-dimensional pure experience.
I was wrong.
Joy has come to mean many things for me and not all of its various forms can be found in the dictionary definition. Sometimes, joy is what shows up only after the pain finally stops.
Robert Wagner once said that joy is not in things, but instead, lives within us. So for the remainder of the year, I've decided to document my personal daily joys and work towards Mr. Wagner's view.
